Life Point Church - Youth Pastor Harrisburg, PA
Basic Ministry Description: As a new church planting with considerable momentum, many potential and existing youth, a newly renovated facility, and excellent youth space, we are looking for a youth pastor who can communicate, model and lead our youth to make a Great Commitment to the Great Commandments and the Great Commission.
Qualifications: -A vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. -A call to youth ministry. -A love for both churched and unchurched youth. -The ability to operate well within a contemporary, casual, and accepting church culture. -A servant heart. -A team oriented ministry approach. -Effective leadership, organizational and communication gifts. -An ability to apply youth theory to an actual youth ministry setting. -A desire to become a 4C leader: ------Competency- ability and desire to use one’s gifts and abilities well and to excel in the use of one’s gifts. ------Character- models Christ honoring, attitudes, words, and actions. ------Commitment- committed as a partner to the mission, vision, and values of LifePoint Church. ------Chemistry- demonstrates a positive, consistent, constructive and enthusiastic attitude towards the pastor(s), other congregational leaders, our youth and the parents of our youth.
Youth Ministry Responsibilities: -Commit 8-10 hours a week to youth ministry at LifePoint. -Attend our Sunday morning worship services. -Meet regularly with the Senior Pastor for encouragement, brainstorming, strategic planning, troubleshooting and prayer. -Integrate youth theory with practice in order to lay the foundation for a healthy new youth ministry. -Develop a balanced youth ministry which includes: fellowship, w orship, discipleship, ministry, outreach and small groups. -Operate as the primary leader and teacher for the youth ministry and a weekly youth event. -Recruit, develop, lead, and resource other adult leaders to assist with the youth ministry. -Allocate time to meet with youth, e-mail youth, text message youth, call youth, and connect with youth, informally during the week. -Mobilize the youth to become involved with the church’s outreach ministries and other activities.
Other Ministry Responsibilities: -Assist periodically with worship as gifts allow (music, teaching, drama, etc.). -Attend our Leadership Community Meetings held the first Sunday of each month. -Give input on improving LifePoint Ministries.
Other Items: -The youth pastor is accountable to the Senior Pastor. -Evaluations will take place periodically with the goal of increasing ministry effectiveness. -Ideally, it is our hope, that the right candidate will have a long term ministry in our church. -A background check is required for all children and youth workers. -LifePoint Church is located approximately 30 minutes from the college campus. -To maintain ministry momentum, we would prefer a year long commitment which includes the summer. Candidates who cannot continue their ministry during the summer may still be considered. -A sense of humor is a plus- we set our goals, work hard but also plan to enjoy the journey. -Our web site provides additional information about LifePoint -We hope to have a youth pastor in place soon so we can prepare for our New Facility Grand Opening in December. -The preferred term of ministry runs from September to September. Annual renewals will be based on ministry effectiveness, 4C leadership, and fit within the missional culture of our church. A stipend of $1,600.00 per semester (September through December; January through May) is being offered. A summer stipend of $2,500.00 is also available. Summer hours and responsibilities would adjust in light of the increased remuneration. |

Pasadena United Methodist Church - Youth Pastor Pasadena, MD
Pasadena United Methodist Church is seeking qualified candidates to apply for our position as PT Youth Pastor. We have a wonderful Youth Advisory Council and help from young adults and parents, and congregational leadership. We currently have Jr. and Sr. High Youth Groups with potential for growth. SPRC is seeking a Youth Pastor for a 10-12 hour per week commitment, Sundays essential, to lead the groups, work with Pastor Marshall and the YAC to help develop our youth program, participate in retreats, attend and also have a role in worship from time to time, especially with the youth. The candidate could be exploring a call to ministry, perhaps have worked with young people in a professional context, but should be a United Methodist, love the Lord, and love the youth. St. Paul United Methodist Church - Director of Youth Manchester, PA
This position is for a person committed to a growing faith in Jesus Christ and an eagerness to share time and talents with young people in our church and the surrounding communities.
Qualifications -Believe in and promote the basic principles and doctrines of the United Methodist Church -Committed to sharing Christ’s love through worship, ministry, missions, and fellowship -Minimum of high school diploma. Related training and/or experience in youth ministry desired -Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license -Computer and word processing skills -Ability to communicate clearly with people of all ages through both speaking and writing -Have a passion for working with troubled and at-risk youth -Meet background and Safe-Sanctuary qualifications
Responsibilities -Be a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ working courteously and professionally with the Senior Pastor, staff, and congregation. -Strengthen and minister to families by effectively communicating with children and parents. -Maintain confidentiality and dignity of all parties involved. -Participate in developing and maintaining weekend and evening programs for youth grades 6-12, including a yearly work plan encompassing meetings, trips, events, retreats, and outreach projects. -Train youth in leadership and ministry in the church. -Assist in creating ministries to reach those often ignored so they can be part of a healthy Christian community. -Accept additional/appropriate assignments made by the Senior Pastor, Nurturing committee or the SPRC, which are deemed within the capabilities, strengths, and experience of the candidate -Work a minimum of twenty hours per week. -Be accountable to the Senior Pastor and Staff Parish Relations Committee.

Plainfield First Church of God - Contemporary Praise Team Leader(s) Plainfield, PA
Plainfield First Church of God is looking for a student or students who would be interested in being a part of a contemporary praise team for our Sunday morning service. We are currently looking for a Worship Leader and until that position is filled we would like to open up an opportunity to a student or students to lead in the music portion of our contemporary service for one or more Sunday mornings per month. We would compensate the student(s) for mileage and their time.
Plainfield First Church of God is located about 4.5 miles west of Carlisle in a rural community.
