Cape May is an island that is accessible by one main bridge that crosses the canal.
There are a few accommodations that will allow visitors to bring their pets. In most places you can walk a dog freely if you clean up after them. You can't walk your dog on the Washington Street Mall or on Cape May beaches. You can take your dog to Sunset Beach at Cape May Point does not allow dogs on the beach between April 15 through September 15.
