Service Day is a Hit!

On Thursday, the Sport Management Society partnered with the Lower Paxton Township, Friendship Center. Eleven Messiah students participated in helping landscape and maintain the Friendship Center. The Society worked diligently from 9:30 A.M. until 2 pm, and by the end of the afternoon had the Friendship Center looking well groomed. The Society helped weeding, laying down mulch, and performing a few other maintenance tasks. This was the first service day activity that the Society has taken part of, but all will agree that it was a success!

Messiah Triathlon

On Saturday May 2nd, the Messiah Sport Management Society is sponsoring the First Annual Messiah College Triathlon! The Society has had in hand in organizing as well as marketing the event. Members of the Society will be assisting on the day of the event as well as selling merchandise. If you are interested in participating in the Triathlon please contact Doug Miller for more information.

Mission Statement

The Sport Management Society of Messiah College is a student directed organization whose focus is to unite and develop students academically, spiritually, and professionally specifically in the field of sport management. We do this by increasing awareness of current jobs in the sport industry, helping students gain more hands-on experience in the sport industry, and increasing networking for sport management students through their professors, fellow students, professional contacts, and Messiah Alumni in the sport industry.
