 Mitt Romney is Governor of Massachusetts. One concern for Romney is that
polls show most Americans would not vote for someone who is a member of the Mormon religion. He
has obviously gained support in both parties since he holds office in Massachusetts, one of the
most democratic states.

 Fred Thompson is a former senator from Tennessee and actor on the
television show Law and Order as well as other movies in the past. Fred Thompson has
consistently conservative views.

 The former first lady and current New York senator is trying to become the first woman president. Her views are very liberal, though it is not well known that she is not in support of pulling out of Iraq. She must overcome her vote in favor of the war in Iraq to gain support from her party. |
 Barak Obama is an up and coming political star. He won an overwhelming
victory for senator in 2005 in Illinois. since he was not in the senate to vote on the war he
does not have to overcome that as an obstacle, and he claims that he never supported the war. If elected he would be the first African American President.
