International Teams

Many international teams exsist. Most commonly, European and South American soccer teams tend to dominate the world as far as skill and technique. Featured below are the 7 different teams that won the World Cup Champion title.





ARGENTINA
Argentina is a two time winner of the World Cup. They recieved the honor in both the 1986 World Cup held in Mexico, and the 1978 World Cup which was held in Argentina.



BRAZIL
Brazil is the greatest overall soccer team in the world. Brazil alone has 5 world cup wins under their belt, which is more than any other country. They first conquered in the 1958 World Cup in Sweeden and from there it was history. They swept the trophy again in the 1962, 1970,and 1994 World Cups. Their final win was taken in 2002 at the World Cup in Japan.




ENGLAND
England has not been a huge soccer mogel since winning the World Cup in its home country in 1966. Some say that it was just home field advantage, but England is still a strong team and a force to be reckoned with.




GERMANY
Germany is tied with Italy for the second most World Cup wins as they come in with 3 trophies. Germany won in the 1990, 1974, and 1954 World Cups. The World Cup is headed toward German soil this summer.




Italy
After its two World Cup wins in 1934 and 1938, Italy remained stagnant until 1982 Spain. This is where Italy won its final World Cup trophy thus far. Watch out, because they are about due for another one!




URUGUAY
Uruguay and Argentina tie with the amount of World Cup trophies that they have under their belts. Uruguay won two in the 1930 and the 1950 World Cup. Unfortunatly they have not won one in over half a century.
