I have dedicated this page to Teaching Enlish as a Second Language to Japanese Students

On this page you will recieve site names that you can access in order to gain a better understanding of what teaching over in Japan entails. I have a real passion for this topic which is why I included it into my website, because I will be going to japan, after I recieve my Teaching Certificate, to teach students English. So I hope I peak your interest in the subject as well as perhaps inform those of you who already are thinking of participating in such an activity.

There are a great deal of issues and preparations that need to be taken care of before you can even think about traveling to Japan to teach another language. The first issue is to understand the native tounge of the country you are going to, in our case that would be Japanese. It is good to have a basic understanding of the language, it is not always necessary to be fluent in the language. The next issue is where will you be teaching? There are a Varitey of programs that I personally have heard of that can help you in that department. These programs, if you so choose to go with one, also will inform you about your salary, your place of residence, and other important issues like the duration of your stay. Here are the names of a few of these programs: JET, and Wakakusa (which is a christian organization that teaches english in rural areas of Japan-- mainly to families that are less fortunate). To get more information on these sites here are their homepages, which explain in more edtail what the programs are about: Jet hompage and this is the site for Wakaksua: Wakaksua homepage
