When I was in 8th grade I went on my first mission’s trip to Mexico, ever since then I have had a heart for missions. I have been on 7 missions or work trips and I will be going on another soon. The first trip was to Matamoros, Mexico in the summer of 2002. Then I went to North Carolina the summer of 2003 and Bluefield’s, Nicaragua in January of 2006 which my church sends a team to every January to help. Katrina then hit New Orleans and my church as a whole felt the call to serve. Since the hurricane my church has sent 14 trips to help with hurricane relief efforts. I have been on three of these trips I was on the July 2007, October 2007, and June 2008 trips. The most recent trip I was on was I went with Habitat for Humanity on a J-term 2008 trip to West Virginia. Besides those trips I also have worked with Habitat for Humanity in Harrisburg, served at soup kitchens, and helped the women in at the Malgro House in Lancaster, and so on. Of all the trips I have been on I would have to say that the most eye opening would have been my trips to New Orleans. I have learned so much from the people there that we now call family and I've seen God work in amazing ways every time. Nicaragua was another experience that is to hard to put into words, the people there teach you that money is not everything and there is no such thing as a language barrier. Some day I hope to become a missionary where ever God is calling me to be. I will always have a love for missions, and I hope that anyone has a chance to go on one goes. Each of these following pages features pictures, links, and stories from my experiences. I hope you enjoy them!!
