A freshman at college am I
Although that word at Messiahwon't fly
Instead we are first year students,
Using correct wording in prudence
My major is early childhood ed.
It doesn't pay much so I've read
But that's not why this major I chose
To teach kids the good grammar I knows
To read them my favorite books
To teach them how stewardship looks
To help them become citizens
Not to become mere fit-us-ins.
I'm not just here for school
I've made friends both akward and cool
My free time with them I spend
And neglect my work often I tend
But those times are the best I've been told
The memories you make with friends are gold.
