Cemetery Transcriptions

Reuben Hoopes son of Waln & Sarah T Hoopes died Jan 12 1867
He is gone from our circle and gone from the earth
He was dear but in dying he gained a new birth
And hopes that we cherished have withered and fled
He is gone from our circle he sleepth death sleep
He is happy in heaven mien whyde we weep

(NOTE: I guess that is "'meanwhile' we weep" but that is how it was on the headstone)
