The purpose of this project is for you to become more familiar with HTML and other web resources. You are asked to investigate on your own new ways to improve your own home page or our missions page. You may also start a new web site as a vechile for you to try new techniques to improve your web presentation.

You will want to investigate some of the following options:

  1. Adding FRAMEs to your site.
  2. Working with graphical compression [.JEG] and discovering how much faster a figure loads when compressed. What are the tradeoff's in compression?
  3. Using tables - unseen tables really help in spacing figures and text on your site - They make your site look organized and easy to follow.
  4. You can make image maps or clickable maps. Hot areas or maps on your site, where links are visited by clicking at various parts of a figure.
  5. .
Note you can see when the image maps are "active" , when the curser moves over the map, the curser changes into a hand.

  6. Transparent and animated GIFs.

  7. Add Sound to your web page.
  8. If you discover any other improvement of your page thru your own research report these .

In this project you will write a report to explain what you have learned. You will be graded by the quality of your report. You can include new things that you used from Stacy Frey's Help pages.
Clearly explain the modification you made and include images that illustrate your work!!!
