Suppe's comments were made at the conference on Science and Belief, Redeemer College, in public discussion but not related to his paper at that conference, August 1992. Suppe's testimony is that he has a "peace that comes from Christ" (Suppe [1993] 178). Suppe, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Maryland, would be the first to admit that his experience is not normative. He has posted extensive notes on his course, Gay Philosophy, for those who would like to pursue his socio-historical (but not really philosophical despite the title) study of homosexuality.
