Q. The Roman Catholic view that homosexuality is an `objective disorder' is rooted in Greek philosophical categories, in universal truths, not Judeo-Christian relational truth. St. Augustine may have been the first puritanical theologian, and he's made it hard on everyone since him. But his roots are in Greek philosophy and in his personal, non-normative experience.
