Creation Story

Q. Rooting heterosexism in a Creation mandate is neoplatonic, not Christian. And it is done selectively by those who practice birth control. A.answer

Q. The OT prohibited male homosexuality because anything that put a man in a passive sexual role was considered degrading. (Johnston 58) Isn't that paternalistic and homophobic?

A.answer

Q. Lesbianism is not addressed in the OT. Doesn't this suggest that the passages that do address homosexuality were not focusing on the sameness of the sex?

A.answer

Celebration of Sexuality

Q. The OT celebrates sexuality (as in the Song of Solomon, between an unmarried man and woman). Haven't you fallen into the trap of the gnostic heresy that the body is sinful? (Nelson)
