  Yes, hatred is wrong. But to claim, as Maury Johnston does, that "Kill a Queer for Christ" was ever actually a battle cry of Christians however fundamentalist (Johnston x) really needs more support than rhetoric.

picketing Christians, sad to say, have been hateful. In this picture, for example, St. David's Episcopal church, which welcomes gays are being picketed Sunday after Sunday by a Baptist church in the same town. They did not learn this hatred from Jesus. On behalf of my brothers and sisters who have hated you, I repent. I pray that God will forgive them. They do not know what they are doing.

If you view disagreement with you as hatred, it is not the problem of those who disagree with you.
