  I argue even more strongly that the rise of modern science was made possible only because of Christian theology (Hooykaas). My 1992 lecture shows that for the rise of modern mathematics (Chase [1996]). Science does not contradict the senses, but extends the senses. Even in a sun-centered universe, "the sun is rising" makes sense. There is a Science section to these questions.

No science, behavioral or otherwise, makes normative claims, as gay writer Pim Pronk details at book-length (Pronk). See my review of Pronk (Chase [199...]). Even in a gay-affirming society, that God might proscribe homosexuality makes sense.
