  Of course heterosexuality is also shaped by family dynamics, by genetic factors, and by society. Most gays do not choose their homosexuality. Perhaps in a world not marred by sin, Siamese twins sharing one lower body would never be born. They are persons of high worth, yet their ethical choices (say for example, whether to marry) are complicated by things that they did not choose. We do not redefine normal in order to accommodate exceptions to normal.
