The Law is a teacher to bring folks to Christ.
(Galatians 3:24) Johnston notices the past tense, and
applies the verse only to the OT. Jesus extended the
ethical dimensions of the Law in the Sermon on the
Mount. Paul's argument in Romans is that the Law is
good, teaching us what sin is.
