Jewish commentator Dennis Prager says that the
beginnings of the high status of women in society can
be traced to the Hebrew refusal to divide sex partners
into inserter and insertee. (Prager) It is striking how the OT
Hebrew culture contrasts with all of the cultures
around it, all of which welcomed homosexuality. (Greenberg) I agree with Prager:
this is hard to account for unless the Hebrews had
heard from God. I object to the word
"homophobic."
