1. Overview of Project and Sponsor Organization
• This Project is for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank which is run
by Christ Community Church. This project will build an updated version of
the database they use to track donors and recipients of food and place it
on a laptop which will be used to manage on-site information. This database
will benefit the organization by providing an organized manner in which they
can store the information without the bulk of paper files. Also, it will allow
the organization to generate on the fly reports and tax forms.
• The parent organization we will be working with is Christ Community Church. The church runs the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. The food bank is part of the church’s Missions and Ministry Department. The goal of the food bank is to collect food from volunteer donors and to distribute it to needy families.
• The key point of contact for the organization is Debra
Benedict, the secretary for the Missions and Ministry Department. The group
liaison for the project is Ryan Robinson.
