We have selected to use Microsoft Access as our database development system. There are several reasons for this selection. First, we are most familiar with Microsoft Access because of classes and previous experience. Second, New Hope already has Microsoft Access on all its computers, so no new software is required for this project. Third, Access will integrate well with their computers because all the computers are using recent Windows Operating Systems and have Microsoft Office. And finally, getting support for the new database will be easier on New Hope because Access is more widely known than their current FileMaker system.

With all of these reasons in mind we feel comfortable making the decision to use Microsoft Access as the technology that will develop a better system for New Hope Ministries. Team Access Hope feels confident enough with this technology selection to be able to further the ministry of New Hope and also to be a great example of Messiah College students.
