Business Process Improvements and Why

           New Hope Ministries is in need of improvements to their current business process.  While they are able to function on a daily basis, valuable time is lost doing complex tasks.  These tasks are crucial to the financial support of New Hope Ministries.  With the addition of an enhanced database, New Hope Ministries will see an improvement in their time management.

            By way of implementing a new database, our team will take a business process improvements approach to accomplish this goal.  While our approach is not radically different to the way business is currently done at New Hope Ministries, it will be a change for the good.  Currently New Hope Ministries has a database running on FileMaker 5 Pro.  Our team will implement Access 2000 to provide more functionality, stability, and take advantage of its familiarity among users.  We will update their database to be more logical and intuitive.  The reports feature of Access will be utilized to provide instant reports upon request.  Financial calculations and details of client history will also be done via the database.  The Children and Youth program, which is currently keeping records on Excel files, will also be incorporated into the database.

The database will bring together all the business elements of New Hope Ministries.  Instead of relying on a slow and broken database, random Excel files and folders for information, and generating reports in a round-about way, our database will improve the business process of New Hope Ministries.
