Beliefs

There are three main beliefs in the Rastafari Movement:

-The first one is the most sacred one: you shall acknowledge Emperor Haile Selassie as the Supreme Being, Messiah and savior of all.
-The second one is Repatriation to Africa. Marcus Garvey urged that the Black Man return to Africa where he will be at rest, back home in Ethiopia.
-The third one is that the Black race is the Supreme: in other words Black Supremacy.

However, Rastafarians believe in love, peace and tranquility. Rastas are to be humble, and are to distance themselves from worldy things in order to obey and love Haile Selassie, their Messiah.
