My research interests include:

• Understanding the origin and nature of Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays (UHECR). Working on new detection techniques for UHECR. Currently working on feasibility of detection of High Energy Cosmic Rays by means of electromagnetic wave scattering. Click here to see an artistic concept of the technique. I am collaborating with MARIACHI collaboration.

• Through funding from NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium, we are investigating the correlation of lightning with cosmic ray showes. This is to test whether cosmic ray showers serve as seeds in lightning.

• Beauty Baryons, understanding the nature of quark intereactions inside beauty baryons. Form factors in semileptonic decays of beauty baryons.

• Grid computing for data processing esp. low power

• The current topics of research are very interesting also from the undergraduate students prospective since they are very accesible to them.
